Safe Access to Education
Special Needs Transportation is a specialized service delivered by our dedicated and highly trained school bus drivers and managers. At GoldStar Transit, we believe that every child deserves safe and reliable access to education, and we work hard to ensure our special needs passengers receive the care and attention they need.
Our drivers receive comprehensive Special Needs Training with a focus on seven core areas, including types of special needs, lifts and mobility devices, and legislation overview to continually strengthen and enhance their compassion and skill levels. With the support of our parent organization, the STA Family of Companies, managers are encouraged to maintain their NAPT Special Needs Endorsement Certification, and each year team members attend the NAPT Special Needs Transportation Training Conference and the STN Transporting Students with Disabilities & Special Needs Conference.
